My first month TTC and wishful thinking this morning finally got me to actually make an account here on Nameberry.
I found Rupinka in one of my screenshots when I research out of the ordinary names. I fell in love with it today. Not sure if I will like it tomorrow. I feel pretty strongly about it right now!
Thoughts? Has anyone seen it before? I’m having a hard time finding the origin. Behindthename usually had everything, but not this one.
Ideas for a middle name?
It appears to be an [name_f]Indian[/name_f] name, but I have no other information on it.
I thought I’d heard/seen Rupina before, but NB doesn’t have it listed. I did find it listed here: Rupina - Meaning of Rupina, What does Rupina mean? as an uncommon boy name. I have seen [name_f]Rubina[/name_f] before and think it’s very pretty!
Rupinka seems to be a Russian place name: http://findthecity.com/index.php?qcountry_code=RU&qregion_code=77&qcity=Rupinka . The “-nka” ending did remind me of Russian nicknames.
My honest opinion is that it sounds like Rumpelstiltskin. Honest.

Thank you ladies! If this month was successful I will be 3 weeks pregnant. Waiting is a killer. I’m really falling for Rupinka right now, and I am not surprised at the negative feedback I am getting [name_m]IRL[/name_m]. [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] are my next top 2 if I decide Rupinka just isn’t the one. If it’s a boy… I’m in trouble because I haven’t any loves for the boy’s side yet.
Rupinka [name_f]Olivet[/name_f] (OliveAY) is the combo I’ve pretty well decided on. Only 2 people [name_m]IRL[/name_m] have been told and I received 2 very opposite responses. One was ‘It will fit your child’ and the other ‘Sounds like something from HP and she will only be able to pull it off if she is model pretty’
