Ruth vs. Jane

What would you choose between Ruth and Jane? I myself am not entirely sure.

What would choose for a middle name if it had to begin with an E and be three-or-more syllables?

This was a hard choice as I love both, but I ended up going for [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] just because I think she won’t get as many votes. As for a middle name, I think [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Esperance[/name_f] would be beautiful! :heartpulse:

I’d go with Ruth Eloise!!

For me it would be [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] > [name_f]Jane[/name_f] > [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] but I did go for [name_f]Jane[/name_f] in the poll. Throwing out [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Eirian[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Elestren[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_u]Endellion[/name_u], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Eilonwy[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Elsinore[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Evadne[/name_f], and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] as some more uncommon middles.

I voted [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is lovely as well. I’ve never actually had [name_f]Jane[/name_f] on my list because one of my older boys is [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] has been there many times

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Ellery[/name_u]

Jane is so so precious

I really like both, but [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] wins for me. Its beautiful meaning and Biblical namesake are real draws for me. It feels classic, grounded, and warm!

I love the name [name_f]Jane[/name_f] so much! It has an elegance and brightness that I don’t hear in [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], although [name_f]Ruthie[/name_f] is very cute. I appreciate both names for their simplicity and classic status.

I’m a little biased because I’m a [name_f]Jane[/name_f] myself, but I really do think it’s a lovely name as it’s very versatile and not too common!

I would choose [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] :purple_heart:
