My husband recently lost his grandmother, our children’s last great-grandparent. We’ve been kind of set on a name for our imminent second child, a boy, but this could change things a little.
He’s Jewish and his family follow the tradition of using honour initials. I’d like to have a list of S names (her name was [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]) in case when the baby is born he feels she should be included.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is so amazing! Lots of great suggestions as well. The only ones I can think of that haven’t been mentioned are:
[name_m]Seamus[/name_m]
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
[name_m]Samson[/name_m]
Samwise
Samwell
[name_m]Stanford[/name_m]
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]
Some great suggestions here, thanks! I think [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] is so gorgeous but our family heritage is already ridiculously complicated without a hint of Scandinavian so I feel like it’s a bit much to drag in another culture?
I also really like [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] but it’s quite common where we live (the UK).
We are also Jewish and use the same tradition! My little boy is going to be [name_u]Sascha[/name_u] [name_m]Lev[/name_m]. I think [name_u]Sascha[/name_u] would work wonderfully to honor [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. I’m also fond of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_m]Solomon[/name_m].
