Sabrina too Tacky with Sebastian?

Really loving [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but my son is [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]. Clearly obvious why I like [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] since they sound very similar. Is that too tacky? Mom says it sounds like twins, but they obviously aren’t.

opinions, suggestions???

Thanks!!

It’s not tacky at all! Personally, I see nothing wrong with naming your children with the same letter. They sound similar but not identical. I think they’re both lovely names and I also think they sound great together. Both are recognizable and wearable names without being too common. I can tell you put some thought into them. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t let one comment keep you from using a name you like.

I wouldn’t say tacky at all, but I do get the twin comment. I think they work great together, but I know the kind of hesitation you can get when you love two very similar names.

Are you planning on having more children? [name_m]Will[/name_m] you feel locked into any kind of naming pattern with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] if you were to have a third child?
If not, I’d say go for it

Not tacky. If you love it, go for it. [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] is beautiful.

I never really thought about the third child situation. Its not out of the question, but two always seemed right for us. We love to travel so we would always have man on man defense at the airport with two;)

I do like [name_f]Sicilia[/name_f] and [name_m]Syrus[/name_m] (more with a C, but I could make the S thing work), Sefora, I’ve always liked as well. Not sure they have that same ring, I would definitely be turning to the forums a lot! lol

[name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] go well together.

It’s a little matchy, but not tacky. I personally find [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] to be more sophisticated, but I don’t see any reason not to use the name you love in this case.

I actually like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]. Though there are similar sounds, I don’t think that makes it tacky or unusable. (Although I’m probably biased, because there is a very near-and-dear-to-my-heart little [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] who has me wound around her pinky finger, and I adore [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], as well. They make a lovely duo!)

If it were me, I wouldn’t because the Sab- and [name_m]Seb[/name_m]- are just too close for my liking. I think the name [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] is very pretty, though =]

You should just go with that if you like it.

I think the names work really well together, & to me they don’t seem like twins. Good luck!

i think thats cute

I don’t think it is tacky, but it may be setting yourself up for a “style”… People may have questions like “are they all going to start with S?” I get why your mum thinks it sounds like twins.
