I love the name, but I would love it even more if it didn’t remind me of that old show on Disney! I just remember a character being named [name]Sadie[/name] and it kind of ruined the name for me! But I love the sound of it!

I have never heard of that song, but I absolutely love the name. I have been kicking myself for years for using it on my cat when I was in high school :(. My friend from work loves the name but used it for her cat or dog, I can’t remember, and now she’s mad that she did too.
It doesn’t make me think of a song, but it is one of the most popular dog names there is right now. I used to work at a vet clinic and a groomer before that, and all the girl dogs were either [name]Sadie[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], or [name]Sophie[/name]. [name]Sadie[/name] was by far the most popular. It doesn’t necessarily make it unusable, just be prepared for the “That’s my dog’s name” comments.

I’ve wondered that for years! I think it’s only an issue in Australia, since the song was by [name]Johnny[/name] Farnham, an Aussie singer.
The song was released in the '60’s, so I’m hoping that was long enough ago for a revival of the name ‘[name]Sadie[/name]’ to be okay. I love it!
I really like the name [name]Sadie[/name]! I think it’s such a sweet name : ) I have never heard the song before, but I do meet several dogs at the dog park with that name. I don’t know if that matters to you though?
