Saga

This name was just suggested to me and reading about it I think I’m in love. I don’t mind it being very unusual as my daughters have unusual names themselves. I was thinking maybe [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] or [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] as middle names but I’m open for suggestions.

I’m bumping this, sorry. I would really appreciate some feedback on [name_f]Saga[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Saga[/name_f]. I love word names, so I love that aspect, and I love how it’s an uncommon, yet recognizable and simple word name. [name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is lovely!!

I love [name_f]Saga[/name_f] and particularly [name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Jemima[/name_f].

[name_f]Saga[/name_f] “say-ga” said like the game consul? Or saga “sah-guh” as in ‘a long and complicated story with many details’ (from Merriam-[name_m]Webster[/name_m] dictionary)? [name_m]Just[/name_m] asking because I think the pronunciation would determine my final say on it. It’s not anything I would choose, but I can see that it goes well with your style.

I’d be more of a fan of “say-ga” than the latter, but I think either would work with your other girls’ names. As far as middle names, I think something that doesn’t end in an “ah” sound would go better with it.

Going by the 2 middles you were thinking…
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]

Others:
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]

I really dislike [name_f]Saga[/name_f], sorry, and it’s not even because it’s really unusual. It just doesn’t sound remotely like it should be a name to me. It sounds fine with your other daughter’s names, but I just don’t like it. If you love it though, you do you. =]

It’s not personally my taste (and was what we called our dining hall in college so I have that association) but otherwise I don’t see anything wrong with it. I would say though I think the middle name should not end in -a.

What I really liked in [name_f]Saga[/name_f] was the mythological association to the goddess Frigg, of course I’m aware that it’s the term of a literary genre, but I didn’t know about the game console aspect of it. Huh. I would say it Sah-gah, not [name_m]Say[/name_m]-ga, I think that pronunciation really steals the charm of it.

I think [name_f]Saga[/name_f] is really cool. And the video game company is actually called Sega, not [name_f]Saga[/name_f].

I know, but I was thinking that [name_f]Saga[/name_f] could possibly be pronounced like Sega

[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]! Nice…

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Saga[/name_f].

[name_f]Saga[/name_f] is a really cool name, and I love the story and mythology associations. I wouldn’t pair it with a middle name that ends in a, but that’s just me and a lot of people wouldn’t mind!

I like [name_f]Saga[/name_f], I can see how it fits your style. But I don’t think it goes well with [name_f]Zaza[/name_f] because they sound so similar. Not a fan of [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] (reminds me of syrup) or [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] (reminds me of the state). What about:

[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
