Sailor or Quincy for Book Character?

I’m starting a young adult novel, and I still just can’t decide on the name of the main character. I was pretty sure about [name]Sailor[/name], but now I’ve started to really like [name]Quincy[/name]. The character’s last name is [name]Parks[/name]. Here’s a description:

  • teenage boy, 15-16
  • has light blond, kind of long, curly-ish hair and green eyes
  • has freckles
  • is not very tall (around 5’6"), also skinny
  • plays soccer
  • laughs at everything
  • is friendly to everyone
  • no one really dislikes him

So yeah, which name do you think fits the character best? I was looking for a kind of unique and preppy sounding name. Thanks!

I think [name]Sailor[/name] is a better option, only because [name]Quincy[/name] has a slightly more feminine ring. But both are nice and I agree it’s a hard choice.

I agree that [name]Sailor[/name] fits better. The way you describe him, he just sounds like a [name]Sailor[/name]- name, not profession  I would definitely like to meet this guy in real life, he sounds like a cool guy

Haha thanks!
