Salomé—meaning?

[name_f]Salome[/name_f] comes from the old Hebrew word shalom which means "peace’.
[name_f][/name_f]I don’t know for sure, but giving it the meaning or idea of “healing” makes me think of something that might be from one of the old [name_m]Christian[/name_m] and/or Catholic traditions. [name_f][/name_f] There are two women named [name_f]Salome[/name_f] in the Bible, neither of whom have anything to do with healing, but I can easily see this being the name given to one of the extra-Biblical characters that pop in different traditions. [name_f][/name_f] (And I just did a quick google search – she is named as a helper of the midwife at the birth of [name_m]Jesus[/name_m] in a non-canonical book. [name_f][/name_f] So any kind of tradition like that could bring that idea to the name, even though it’s not the actual meaning of the name.)
