[name]Samanth[/name]ée — does this name actually exist in [name]France[/name]? I saw it here on Nameberry as a French version of the name [name]Samantha[/name], and I cannot, for the life of me, find it elsewhere on the 'net. I speak French, too, and have yet to encounter it! [name]Samanth[/name]ée has the same “-thée” ending as Dorothée ([name]Dorothy[/name]), which I find stunning. Some enlightenment, please? Was [name]Samanth[/name]ée simply made up, or is it just obscure? 
I’m French and I never heard of that name before. I didn’t even know that name existed. It might be an old french form of [name]Samantha[/name] of it might simply be made up.
