Hello there, what do you think of the name [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] for baby brother to [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]. We are concerned about the nicknames since we call her [name_u]Sammy[/name_u] and sometimes [name_u]Sam[/name_u]. Any thoughts on this?? We love the name [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] but can’t think of any nicknames that will work.
Maybe use the middle name to base the nickname on. Not all, but some resources say that [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] is a version of [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. Although I like them both very much I have to admit I do feel like they are the same name. If I heard of this sibset I would assume they were twins.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Samson[/name_m]? [name_u]Seth[/name_u]? [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] sounds like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and is also Biblical.
I would not do it. It’s almost like naming both of your children the same name. It makes sense that you like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] since you like [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], but there has to be some other sound you like as well.
Sorry… but no. [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] is a feminization of [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], so in fact it’s the same name. You wouldn’t name both your children, a boy and a girl, for example, [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u], would you?

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] is entirely too matchy. What about [name_m]Lemuel[/name_m]?
[name_f]Samantha[/name_f] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] are far too close to be siblings. In fact, [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] is a feminization of [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. Please consider another name for your son, he deserves his own identity.
