Samuel

[name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]Samuel[/name]? I think this is probably the best matching name I like from my list that goes with my DD’s names. Is it too boring? [name]Do[/name] you feel it’ll rocket in popularity now that the Afflecks have used it?
Thanks for any replies

I love it! It’s so classic and I love the biblical association as well. I doubt [name]Samuel[/name] will get much more popular, actually–I think its top 30 in the US. [name]Sam[/name] is such a handsome nickname, too!

It would probably be on my own short list if both my sisters hadn’t claimed it for their future sons. I still consider it as a mn all the time, though.

I have always loved the name [name]Samuel[/name]. I considered it for my sons. It’s a super handsome choice!!

I really like it. I think it is already quite popular though, I know several Sams who are 8-14years old.

I really like the name, but I think it totally depends where you live - I think it is in the top 20 here, and about 5 of my school friends have subsequently had boys called samuel - so it was a no go for me…

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Samuel[/name]! With [name]Sam[/name] and [name]Sammy[/name] as adorable NNs it is by far my one of my favorite names. It is such a classic name and pretty popular as it is so I don’t see the Aflecks use of it really affecting anything. [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name] were more out of style when the chose them but [name]Samuel[/name] has never gone out of style.

[name]Samuel[/name] is my 16-year-old brother’s name and I like it very much. When he was little he was [name]Sammy[/name], now he mostly goes by [name]Sam[/name]. I think it’s a strong classic name that works well at any age in a person’s life. I don’t find it boring at all!

I think [name]Samuel[/name] is great! I had never topped my list, but I do like it quite a bit. I know a couple Samuels who go by [name]Sam[/name], and a [name]Sam[/name]-as-a-given-name.
I think it’s handsome and timeless. It might rise in popularity a bit, but the vibe I got after the Afflecks’ baby was that people weren’t loving [name]Samuel[/name] in their case, so maybe it won’t have much of an effect? [name]Samuel[/name] is already relatively popular though, isn’t it? In the US, it’s #24. If it does rise more in popularity, I think it’s well-deserved. It’s a great name

[name]Love[/name] [name]Samuel[/name]! It’s on my list and is a timeless classic yet still feels fresh. A little [name]Sammy[/name] could grow into a great [name]Sam[/name].

[name]Samuel[/name] is growing on me

I love the name [name]Samuel[/name] too! If I had boy & girl twins, I would name them [name]Samuel[/name] & [name]Eliana[/name] -both names mean God has heard-answered (although nameberry has a different meaning for [name]Eliana[/name]… but other sites quote that meaning).
