Sara mother to Clara? Does rhyming matter?

My name is [name_f]Sara[/name_f], and we both love the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but we eliminated it because, well, [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] rhyme. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you agree that is a reason not to use it? I’m imagining having to say “[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m [name_f]Sara[/name_f], and this is [name_f]Clara[/name_f].”

I don’t think it is a huge issue. I know mother/daughter pairs like [name_f]Emma[/name_f]/[name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]/[name_f]Tara[/name_f] (tare-uh, not tar-ah), and so on. None of them have ever mentioned any difficulties with it. The name clearly means a lot to you both, so I think you should use it.

I don’t think that’s a big deal. I don’t think you will have to say the names together like that very often. But if you think you will feel silly about it then maybe keep looking.

I think it’s absolutely fine. I wouldn’t bat an eyelid at hearing [name_f]Sara[/name_f] introduce herself along with her daughter [name_f]Clara[/name_f].

Also many men have juniors, rhyming mother daughter names are fine.

If men can have sons with their name, why can’t a woman have a daughter with a rhyming name? I don’t see it as an issue.
