Sarah or Charlotte?

Thoughts???

I prefer [name]Charlotte[/name]

[name]Charlotte[/name] is my favorite!

[name]Charlotte[/name]!

Another vote for [name]Charlotte[/name] - it’s just so classy and ladylike. [name]Sarah[/name]'s lustre is dimming for me. It was so popular for years that it now seems dated. All the best!

Another vote for [name]Charlotte[/name]!

I think [name]Sally[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] are cute, but just [name]Sarah[/name] feels rather bland anymore. While [name]Charlotte[/name] is lovely herself, and has the adorable [name]Lottie[/name]. I’d have to vote for [name]Charlotte[/name].

[name]Charlotte[/name] 100%!

And yet another vote for [name]Charlotte[/name]! To me [name]Charlotte[/name] is just a prettier name, and I know MANY more [name]Sarah[/name]'s than [name]Charlotte[/name]'s, so [name]Sarah[/name] doesn’t really seem as fresh to me. So, for me it’s totallly [name]Charlotte[/name] all the way!!!

Well, I like [name]Sarah[/name]! All the Sarahs I know are kind, smart and free-spirited. It’s a name that can suit many different personality types, while [name]Charlotte[/name] seems a bit snobbish to me - it also has the word “harlot” smack in the middle of it, if that bothers you. Also, it’s very popular both on Nameberry and on Name [name]Genie[/name], so I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the next [name]Olivia[/name] - classic but overused and eventually somewhat dated. [name]Sarah[/name] may have been more popular previously than it is currently, but it’s by no means a “fad” name like [name]Helen[/name], [name]Florence[/name], [name]Nancy[/name], [name]Deborah[/name], [name]Karen[/name], [name]Jennifer[/name], [name]Britney[/name] etc were. It’s more one of those consistent names, like [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] would be great. Good luck!

Hmmm… interesting. DH brought [name]Sarah[/name] up to me yesterday… it is a name I have loved for years, but felt it was a bit “out dated” he suggested that a pretty [name]Sarah[/name] combo would be nice with [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name] (since they will be so close in age). I like the Sound of [name]Sarah[/name] and it’s meaning. The fact that it is biblical is a plus to me. I think though, it doesn’t have that same “flare” that [name]Charlotte[/name] has…

I though perhaps if I paired [name]Sarah[/name] with a more “spunky, fresh” second name… but can’t think of what that would be.
[name]Sarah[/name]-[name]Anne[/name] (too predictable)…
I am not sure what my problem is this time around (besides the fact that I have used most of the girl names I truly love already, as we have 5 girls)… While I love [name]Charlotte[/name]…I just have not been able to completely sell myself on it, as hard as I have tried to… I don’t know why.

I think I have thought of, and looked up every name imaginable. The only ones DH and I can agree on as a possibility are [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]… [name]Sarah[/name]. DH loves the name [name]Riley[/name]. To me it sounds nothing like my other girls’ names and I love, old, classic, vintage names… We have tossed around [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Lilly[/name] (but I can tell, though DH says he likes them), he really doesn’t love them.

She is due in [name]April[/name], maybe something will come to me, or I will fall deeply in love with one of these by then… In the meantime, I am open for more suggestions!!

[name]Charlotte[/name] is beautiful and timeless

[name]Charlotte[/name]! If our [name]Ollie[/name] was a girl, he would have been a [name]Charlotte[/name]. Timeless, less popular and less boring.

[name]Bree[/name], [name]Brynn[/name], [name]Eve[/name], [name]Faye[/name], [name]Hope[/name], [name]Jade[/name], [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Neve[/name], [name]Paige[/name], [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Skye[/name], [name]Sloane[/name] or [name]Tess[/name] would be interesting with [name]Sarah[/name]…

I love [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name], but if that’s not quite right for you, how about [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Lily[/name], as a nice compromise?

Or you could go with [name]Lily[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].

[name]Sarah[/name]! It reminds me of the little girl in A [name]Little[/name] [name]Princess[/name] and so I love it

I was very nearly a [name]Sarah[/name] myself and although I’ll admit it doesn’t sound totally fresh right now because there are so many [name]Sarah[/name]'s in my generation, it doesn’t feel dated to me either. And if anything, it’d be more of a refreshing change to hear of a baby [name]Sarah[/name] than a baby [name]Charlotte[/name] because so many people are using [name]Charlotte[/name] these days and shying away from [name]Sarah[/name] because they think it’s “dated”.

There’s always the spelling [name]Sera[/name], popular in Italian and Spanish cultures that may freshen it up a bit?

Best of luck, and don’t forget, with so many people loving and using [name]Charlotte[/name] right now, that’s the name that will seem dated in 20 years when your little girl grows up, not [name]Sarah[/name]. That’ll probably be coming back into fashion again and sounding rather fresh! Lol.

Interesting thoughts…and while I am keeping [name]Sarah[/name] in mind, it seems [name]Charlotte[/name] is still winning. I still love the flow of it with our last name, and the fact that DH is absolutely in love with the name [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is starting to tug at my heart strings. He has been sweet to suggest a lot of other names, but when it comes down to it, he tells me he loves [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]. I still think [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Anne[/name] sounds best…[name]Charlotte[/name] is everything we were looking for, timelss, classic, sweet yet strong… I think I am going to order something embrodried for her nursery and try to let go of my doubts (which I am sure most doubts can be attributed to the strong dislike extended family has for the name…) Our other girls [name]Love[/name] the name [name]Charlotte[/name], and my 5 year old [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name] already refers to the baby as [name]Charlotte[/name]. =0) I can not come up with a good middle name with [name]Sarah[/name]… I may see what else I can come up with for [name]Sarah[/name] … but I feel like at this point [name]Charlotte[/name] is winning.

I love [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]! It is so timeless and classic, and royal! Have you thought of turning it around, to
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]?

While I love [name]Anna[/name]… I don’t think it has the Flare of [name]Charlotte[/name]… I would have to say I like [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name] over [name]Anna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. However, overall all “[name]Anne[/name]” is just not a fave of mine. It seems like a filler type name…
