Sasha for an American boy?

What do you think of [name]Alexander[/name] “[name]Sasha[/name]” on a boy?

I’ve known several male Alexanders who are [name]Sascha[/name] – but with the Russian spelling, not the American. The American spelling seems to be reserved for girls these days, including my own niece, [name]Alexandra[/name] nn [name]Sasha[/name].

I agree, I would go with the Russian spelling [name]Sacha[/name]. I love that name on boys!

I love it, going with the Russian spelling is good advice unless you don’t care about the unisex nature of [name]Sasha[/name], I think it’s refreshing with [name]Alexander[/name] being so popular (but one of my favorite classics ever) and [name]Alex[/name] being overused and [name]Xander[/name]/[name]Zander[/name] being a bit trendy seeming for my tastes.

Also, [name]Naomi[/name] Watts and [name]Liev[/name] Schrieber have an [name]Alexander[/name] that they call [name]Sasha[/name]
