Sasha!

Hi berries!

I’m just looking for other ways to get to the nn [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] on a boy (that is, outside of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]/Aleksandr). I’m completely in love with it as a nn but haven’t been able to come up with any other ways to get to it.

Thank you!! The berries are an invaluable naming resource :two_hearts:

This is a hard one!

I don’t know the legitimacy of these names but I found-
Osashi
Sakasha
Sansher
Sashko/Sashco/Sashka (this may be a form of [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]?)

Or a different form of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]? These might be a bit of a stretch to get [name_u]Sasha[/name_u].
Sikander
[name_m]Eskandar[/name_m]
[name_u]Sander[/name_u]
Allesandro
[name_m]Sandro[/name_m]

Lysander

@hannahhh thank you, I didn’t even consider [name_u]Asher[/name_u]!!

@columbiacharm ooh these are very interesting, I hadn’t heard a lot of them— Osashi, Sikander, Eskander, and other forms of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] I will definitely look at! thank you!

@Greyblue I love the idea of [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] “[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]” :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] could be a stand alone

I definitely think [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] holds its own as a standalone name and it’s my absolute favourite for a boy (although I equally love the spelling [name_u]Sacha[/name_u] and can’t decide which way I would go).

However, I agree that lots of the previous suggestions could work either because of their similarity to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] ([name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Xander[/name_m], [name_m]Sandro[/name_m]) or the ‘ash’ sounds ([name_u]Asher[/name_u], [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]).
