Sashafia... Crazy or cute?

We are still kinda stuck on [name]Fia[/name], [name]Fiamma[/name], or Fiametta, though to me [name]Fia[/name] is the best one since we are pretty much straight up american mutts. But we were loving [name]Sasha[/name] and I have let Sashafia grow on me now as a name…

We thought of doing fn, mn = [name]Sasha[/name] [name]Fia[/name]
But we’d get another name slot if we did Sashafia mn ln…

Hmm, does it sound crazy? I kind of love it now. And we could call her [name]Fia[/name] if we want or it could be a nn. Plus it gives her more options as an adult.

Are we ruining our daughters life, LOL?

Sashafia could be a pet name that mother gives her daughter but please stick with [name]Sasha[/name], it is a lovely name.

It’s a bit much for me, sorry.

Crazy. And NOT in a good way, sorry. Stick with [name]Sasha[/name], and use the rest behind closed doors when no one’s around.

don’t like it sorry( maybe you can keep sasha and the second name cold be [name]Fiona[/name] or sth like this, [name]Sasha[/name] [name]Fia[/name] sounds much better. you may call her Sashafia as a short name or sth like this but not as a full name to me, sorry.

sorry… crazy… [name]Sasha[/name] is lovely tho.

maybe just… use [name]Sofia[/name]? that way you get your S sounding name and still get [name]Fia[/name] as a nn. Altho, [name]Sofia[/name] is a very popular name… between [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name].

As the two Sashas I know are both men, [name]Sasha[/name] will always be a masculine name to me. [name]Fia[/name] is pronounced the same as fea, which is Spanish for ugly. I hate to be a downer, but this name just doesn’t work for me. Sorry.

CRAZY! in a bad way.
I love [name]Sasha[/name] I think its beautiful!
The male [name]Sacha[/name] is growing on me too!

I also have to vote “Crazy!” but have you tried [name]Seraphina[/name]/[name]Serafina[/name]? You can call her [name]Sera[/name] for short. Also, [name]Sophia[/name] has that -fia sound that you like.

Other names meaning firey:

[name]Adena[/name] (from English [name]Aden[/name])
[name]Fina[/name] (could be a nn for [name]Serafina[/name])

I second the [name]Serafina[/name] suggestion!

You could go with [name]Afia[/name], nn [name]Fia[/name]. I know a very sweet girl named [name]Afia[/name], and I’ve never met anyone else with that name! Apparently it’s an [name]African[/name] name meaning “born on Friday.”

Haha, Well, maybe we will stick with [name]Sasha[/name] [name]Fia[/name] as fn, mn.

[name]Fia[/name] means flame, and has a lot of meaning for us. We’ve also considered [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Fia[/name] or [name]Fia[/name] as a fn and then look for another middle name.

Naming is tough. We definitely want a nice name that she will enjoy having and it would be nice to incorporate some meaning.

I had a friend named [name]Annalee[/name] which is two names stuck together. [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lee[/name]. So I can see how [name]Sasha[/name] and [name]Fia[/name] which are both real names, could be put together. But I also see that it is pretty unique and could see how people would find it crazy.

Thanks again everyone.

I’m sorry… that’s insanely crazy. [name]Love[/name] [name]Sasha[/name], though. Have you considered [name]Fiona[/name]? (Sorry if someone’s already mentioned, haven’t read the whole thread.)

Please don’t!

My name is [name]Sasha[/name] (and I’m a girl), and I have always loved how not popular but not unheard of it is. I think it has balance all on it’s own.
Also, [name]Beyonce[/name] has an album called I am… [name]Sasha[/name] Fierce, and it sounds like you’ve missed a sound at the end from that.

I honestly prefer [name]Sasha[/name] with middle names of 2 syllables or more, depending on the last name. If you have a short last name, at least 2 syllables does sound better. For example mine is…
2 Syllables - 2 Syllables - 1 Syllable
A long last name could deal with a short middle name, I suppose.

Please don’t mash the names together! It ruins the flair that [name]Sasha[/name] gives off, because even on its own it’s a very strong name.
Good luck!

Fea means ugly in spanish and is pronounced FEH-[name]AH[/name]
[name]Fia[/name] is pronounced [name]FEE[/name]-UH

Fea means ugly in spanish and is pronounced FEH-[name]AH[/name]
[name]Fia[/name] is pronounced [name]FEE[/name]-UH[/quote]

This is true, the pronunciations are different, but they remind me of each other too. But I don’t think it’s a huge deal. It wouldn’t be THAT bad.

Anyway, I second the [name]Sofia[/name] suggestion and have to agree that Sashafia is a bit much. You could give her two middle names, though. There’s also [name]Fianna[/name], if that appeals to you.

Well thats a bit crazy-sorry…[name]How[/name] about [name]Seraphina[/name]?(im not a fan of it personally) but it seems to be kind of similar to what your going for…
