Hi, I have these two characters ones a satyr and the other is a faun. I’m having trouble finding good names for them. I’d like the names to represent them, and would prefer the faun’s name to mean playful, foolish or something similar, and for the satyr’s name to mean wise, intelligent, etc. Both characters are male.
I don’t really have a preference for origin, any names will be appreciated. Thank you!
I recommend [name_m]Ludo[/name_m] for the faun! It’s Latin for I play.
Satyr: [name_u]Alvis[/name_u], [name_u]Cato[/name_u], [name_m]Vivek[/name_m], or [name_m]Nestor[/name_m]
[name_f]Faun[/name_f]:
[name_u]Puck[/name_u] (Shakespeare reference)
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] (harp player - not really the same as playful, but it feels light and fun)
[name_m]Alf[/name_m] (elf - I think of elves as being fun and playful)
[name_m]Nimrod[/name_m] (may be too on the nose for foolish)
Satyr:
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] (old, wise friend)
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] / [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] (wise counselor)
[name_m]Eldridge[/name_m] (old, wise leader)
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] (wise and knowing)
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m] (wise protector)
[name_u]Akira[/name_u] (bright, intelligent)
I struggled to find names meaning foolish/playful so I branched out a little, hope that’s alright!
