We are looking for a boy name. Siblings are [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Mollie[/name]. I love the name [name]Sawyer[/name] (Soy-er), but with the last name [name]Otis[/name] it sounds a bit more like name calling than I would like. My husband thinks I’m reading into it too much. Does [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Otis[/name] sound bad to anyone else? Can it be fixed with a good middle name? I’m a little heartbroken because I love the name so much. Thanks in advance.
Also any other name suggestions would be appreciated
I actually really love the look and sound of [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Otis[/name]. I’m not sure why; it isn’t particularly flowy, but it has an interesting ka-chow smoothness, like a superhero. I really don’t understand the name calling thing, maybe there’s just something I’m missing in the sound. Great choice!
Yeah, I don’t see it either. I love the sound of [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Otis[/name] – has a very understated, classic, handsome feel to me. You’re lucky to have such a fine surname! Good luck.
Like you I say soy-er rather than saw-your and I don’t like the repeated O sound with ln [name]Otis[/name]. It’s not because of name-calling, I just find it hard to say. Kind of makes me want to say soy-er oy-tis know what I mean?
[name]Do[/name] you like:
[name]Spencer[/name]
[name]Dillon[/name]
[name]Wesley[/name]
[name]Marshall[/name]
[name]Simon[/name]
[name]Brendan[/name]
Personally I think it sounds like ‘soya’ as in Soya Milk or Soya Beans, but maybe that’s just with my English accent (in all honesty, I don’t even know if I’m pronouncing it right  )
Anyway, I love [name]Sawyer[/name] and [name]Otis[/name] together. It’s very cool, and certainly no ‘saw your’ problems with my pn anyway!
