Is [name]Sawyer[/name] REALLY that bad for a girl?
I mean, yes it is mostly used for boys… but I mean so is [name]Finley[/name], [name]Alex[/name], [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Peyton[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Jordan[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Sidney[/name]… but dont we now consider most of those names unisex? maybe one day [name]Sawyer[/name] will be seen as unisex… and other than the “her parents must have wanted a boy” comment, (which seems so silly to me, would you really give your child a masculine name if you were hoping for a boy? I actually dont want a daughter (currently ttc) but, obviously, have no control in the matter, hence why I am spening so much time finding the perfect name for both genders) is there anything actually wrong with the name? Paired with a beautiful middle name couldnt this name work?
Personally, I don’t care for it, even paired with a girly middle name because most don’t go by both their first and middle name in daily life. Plus, I can’t help but think of good old [name]Tom[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name].
I like it! I was considering [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Kate[/name] until I realized it was a “Lost” episode. I say go for it. I think it would be precious on a girl.
[name]Just[/name] curious, but is there any reason other than you liking the sound? The meaning is “sawer of wood.” Is it a family name? If not then I wouldn’t use it.
Personally, I prefer [name]Sawyer[/name] on a boy. However I think it would work just fine for a girl. In the end I think you should go with the name YOU love most, not what other people approve of.
