Why change what you’ve decided on? And I’m not sure how [name]Charlotte[/name] is more a “spring” name, not that I place significance on when a baby is born anyway.
Well, Nameberry lists [name]Scarlett[/name] under “winter baby names” so I am wondering.
Definitely go with the name that you like best rather than worrying about anythings else. She will have that name her whole life through all of the seasons and no one at all will think of what season she was born in.
We do already have the nursery all decorated, too, and it is all red and ivory. [name]Even[/name] her car seat and stroller are red! So it would be kind of hard to go with another name now since obviously [name]Scarlett[/name] means red.
[name]Hi[/name]! Your baby girl’s nursery and accessories sound adorable! I love [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] so much, and for what it’s worth, [name]Scarlett[/name] makes me think of spring, because I imagine bright red tulips.
I’m going to vote for [name]Scarlett[/name] because it’s the name you’ve been planning on, but either way, I honestly don’t think you can go wrong!
Good luck!
[name]Even[/name] though these names have similar sounds, they conjure up very different people for me. [name]Scarlett[/name] is sassy, [name]Charlotte[/name] is sweet. [name]Scarlett[/name] is spunky, [name]Charlotte[/name] is docile. [name]Scarlett[/name] is independent (some would say stubborn), [name]Charlotte[/name] is everyone’s good friend. And on and on. Which kind of child do you envision?
I understand that the two different names seem to conjure up different people.
I didn’t vote because I can’t decide. I think you should wait to see her then decide. She will probably look like one or the other and it will be obvious. I didn’t pick my son’s name until after I saw him, he really seemed to fit one name over the others I had picked out.
I cannot decide either.
I do have one more question to add into the mix.
[name]Hi[/name]!
I see what you are getting at here with the colors. Yes, maybe [name]Scarlett[/name] seems more like a winter name, and [name]Charlotte[/name] does have a more light, spring-y feel to it, I suppose. However, I think [name]Charlotte[/name], as a classic, transcends all time. The only reason I picture [name]Charlotte[/name] as a spring-y name is because I think of a girl walking through a field of wildflowers, her hair, honey blond, falling in ringlets down her back, and a light, linen shift dress on her body - its very Pride and Prejudice, really…
That being said, although I hands down would choose [name]Charlotte[/name], regardless of the time of my child’s birth, you should pick the name you love most! If that is [name]Scarlett[/name], then use that! Best of luck!

Um, if you have two girls, you want to name one [name]Scarlett[/name] and one [name]Charlotte[/name]? Personally, I think that is not such a good plan - the names sound far too similar, in my opinion. Sorry!
To answer your question, I can’t decide who sounds like a big sister! [name]Scarlett[/name] could be a big sister because I envision her to be strong and feminine, proud and boastful - I envision her having a bit of a hard time getting used to a baby sibling, as she loves to be the center of attention. [name]Charlotte[/name] would be a responsible and caring older sister, who dotes on and adores her baby sibling from the start. Conversely, [name]Charlotte[/name] I can see as being timid and shy, hiding behind the skirts of her mother and older sister. [name]Scarlett[/name] could be the baby of the family, pretty and delicate and always the center of attention!
If you want to use both, I’d use [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] - [name]Libby[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Lizzy[/name], [name]Bess[/name] - OR [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].
Good luck deciding!

[name]Lemon[/name], she will probably be a blonde little girl for sure, as both of her parents are natural blondes. Does [name]Charlotte[/name] seem like more of a blonde name? Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books, and Sense and Sensibility is my favorite movie.
You’re probably right about [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] being too similar for sibling names.
See, I’m incredibly biased because I love classic names - seems like you do, too, for the most part. [name]Charlotte[/name] has been a favorite for a very long time - I named my favorite doll [name]Charlotte[/name] when I was 8!
I love [name]Henry[/name]! It is on my list for future children, and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] is lovely. I would say that [name]Charlotte[/name] goes best with [name]Henry[/name], personally. [name]Both[/name] are classic, understated, and lovely…
But, you need to pick whichever name makes you happiest, the one you love saying and writing, the one you’d be proud to introduce your child as - the one you love!

PS Yes, I do tend to see [name]Charlotte[/name] with honey blond or light brown hair, but I knew a [name]Charlotte[/name] with very dark brown hair. [name]Scarlett[/name], on the other hand, seems like she’d have red - ha! - or brunette hair. But, obviously, that is just my imagination.
[name]Both[/name] are very beautiful names.
I gave my vote to [name]Scarlett[/name] though.
[name]Both[/name] are beautiful names. I slightly prefer [name]Scarlett[/name] over [name]Charlotte[/name]. I agree that maybe once you meet your new baby girl that you will know which name is for her…
good luck!!
I think, deep down, she already has a name, don’t you? I’m super indecisive as well, so I know what it’s like to waffle at the last minute… but if she was born two days ago we’d all be congratulating you on your choice of the lovely [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], and it would be perfect.
Good luck!
(oh, and [name]Scarlett[/name] sounds great with both [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]!)
I’m not a big fan of either to be honest, but you should go with your heart which do you love or wait till you see her.
Good luck
