Which name do you guys prefer? I used to be obsessed with the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] when I was younger after I met the sweetest little girl name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], but the name [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has really started to go grow on me. I’ve never met a [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] but the name sounds really soft & sweet. I also hate the nicknames [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] & [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. I like very feminine names. I honestly don’t know which name I prefer now…Which name gives off more of a sweet vibe?
Scarlett is sweeter, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is more classic
I honestly love both names. I used to love [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] more but now I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] more (but might be falling for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] again). I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is sweeter and I prefer the nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]!
Scarlett Nn Scar
I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - such a sweet name. [name_f]Scarlette[/name_f] reminds me of Gone With the Wind, so I think of it as a sassier option lol. Both are too cute though!
1000x [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]!
Charlotte is, as you said, very soft and sweet. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] has a harsher vibe to me. I have known two Charlottes who are just [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], no nickname, so I wouldn’t worry about [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
Same here, I was obsessed and certain I would name my first daughter [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] I still think it’s such a pretty color and name, but the “scar” part is what throws me for a loop. However, it still brings lovely images, like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] O’[name_f]Hara[/name_f] & a girl with fiery strength & perseverance.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] on the other hand, has softer and sweeter sounds, and I love the nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] personally. But even still, I couldn’t tell you which name I prefer. It’s one of those questions where for me, it depends on the day or my mood
Charlotte has a sweeter vibe to me. It’s strong, soft and elegant.
Scarlett has a bolder feel to me.
If you hate [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], I’d probably go with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] as she might well decide she likes those nicknames
I love both of these names! I’m trying to decide between the two myself. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband, my oldest son and myself love [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] but our last name is [name_m]Brown[/name_m] so it makes me draw away from if which sucks! I have til [name_u]July[/name_u] 13th to decide what to name our daughter! Hopefully you have a great last name.
Charlotte feels sweeter to me? [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a much longer favorite, but I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is super pretty and is definitely underused in my area. I would be thrilled to meet a little one with either name, but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] feels like it suits what you’re looking for more.
Good luck!
Definitely [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. There’s something about the spunk and fire behind it that has more flair than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] to me.
Charlotte strikes me as traditional, safe. I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], it’s pretty but has some edge to it.
I simply cannot choose
I’ll say [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. More classic and sweeter, but I love [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], which is why I love the name anyway.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] has more of a spunky vibe (why do I overuse this word).
I say either works. If you don’t like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]’s nicknames, you can just not use one. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is only two syllables anyway
if you want to raise your daughter as an elegant, proper young female, i’d go with charlotte. it’s very posh and darling and you can never go wrong with it! charlotte i associate with calm, sweet vibes but charlotte is also fitting for a loud, spunky girl too! however, if you think she’ll love sports, be more tough, just loves to be wild, i think scarlett is more appropriate. i love thé name scarlett, it is common, but not as common as charlotte. i also ADORE the pet name “red” for scarlett!! i still love both names, but scarlett has my vote
I prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
Charlotte. Its more classic, effortless, gracious, and powerful sounding to me. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] sounds a little more…scrappy? to me… As in, the “other side of the tracks” version of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] to me. /sorry
Charlotte is very sweet but for me it also skews more stiff and conservative. I see [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] as more versatile. Aname that could grow with a person. For me it’s feminine, strong, spunky, and beautiful at the same time.
I really like both, but if you’re going for “sweet,” [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] fits the bill better imo! [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] strikes me as spunky and sparkly and full of energy; [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] feels a little softer and gentler, and, well, sweeter. [name_f]My[/name_f] only hesitation is that if you truly hate [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] seems like a risky choice. I definitely think you could avoid calling her those, but there’s nothing to say she won’t decide to go by one of them at some point. Would that bother you? If so, I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is a lovely choice and might be a better fit.
I much prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]! It sounds softer and lovely
