Scarlett vs Scarlet

Which spelling for [name]Scarlett[/name]/[name]Scarlet[/name] do you prefer. I like the look of the single T since two T’s seems a bit redundant without an “e” on the end, but it has some bad associations (scarlet fever, scarlet witch).

What do you think?

Use the [name]Scarlett[/name] spelling a la “Gone with the Wind” to avoid all of the other bad associations including scarlet woman.

I agree with the pp. Use 2 Ts. It looks incomplete to me with only 1 T.
