Among the myriad of characters in the book I’m writing is one based on an ancient Scottish warrior-maiden, Scathach. She’s the daughter of a wicked king, and a spy for the young queen opposing him, with vibrant red hair, the power of shadow fire, and a sly and cool demeanor.
And she needs a nickname, because I refuse to refer to her as Scathach the entire time. What should it be?
