[name_u]Scottie[/name_u] for a girl. I’ve heard this name a few times recently and curious about what your thoughts are?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think its usable a la names like [name_u]Stevie[/name_u], [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], etc.? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer it as a nn to [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] or as a stand-alone name?
Thanks,
x
I like [name_u]Scottie[/name_u], it reminds me of F. [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m]’s daughter. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] as a name, though.
I think i lile just [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] on its own. [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is funky and cute
Having seen many of your posts before I think [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is a really great option for you. It seems to hit the sweet spot. It’s strong and tomboyish, but to me it also feels nostalgic. It’s not far off from vintage beauties like [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] or [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_u]Mattie[/name_u]. Similar to [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Story[/name_u] on your list as well.
I can also see it among the Billies and Frankies. It’s definitely wearable. I wouldn’t be so keen if it was spelt “[name_u]Scotty[/name_u]” but the “ie” really changes things. No need for a longer form, it’s rather fetching as a stand-alone name. It could be a good nickname for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] though if that’s still on your list.
