The only one I like is [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], but I would class it as more Scandinavian than Scottish. I’ve never heard [name_m]Wilkie[/name_m] as a first name.
They’re all lovely - I especially like [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] and [name_u]Wallace[/name_u]
My fave Scottish name is [name_m]Hamish[/name_m]. I also love [name_m]Fergus[/name_m], [name_m]Ewan[/name_m], and [name_m]Callum[/name_m].
I voted for [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] from your list.
[name_m]Angus[/name_m] is another one to throw in the mix.
I voted [name_u]Wallace[/name_u]. As you can see from my signature, I’m biased. I also love [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], but don’t consider it Scottish.
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_m]Boyd[/name_m], and [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] are all great. Though I’d think [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] is more Scandinavian rooted.
I like [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] the best of those. I have a girl named [name_u]Skye[/name_u] and I wouldn’t class it as boys name.
I went for [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], but I’m from the UK and none of those actually seem very Scottish. If you’re looking for more Scottish feeling names I’d say [name_u]Murray[/name_u], [name_m]Fraser[/name_m], [name_m]Struan[/name_m], [name_m]Brodie[/name_m], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_m]Angus[/name_m], [name_m]Hamish[/name_m]…
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m] is one of my very favourites! It may not be traditionally Scottish per se, but it has historically got more use in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] than in the rest of the UK (though with [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] quite a fashionable choice now, this may be changing).
I also like [name_m]Innes[/name_m], [name_m]Ossian[/name_m], [name_f]Firth[/name_f], [name_m]Nairn[/name_m] and [name_m]Hector[/name_m], which is another not-strictly-Scottish option which has nevertheless historically got more use in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] than elsewhere in the UK. [name_u]Fife[/name_u] from your girls’ post would work well for a boy too, but not in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]!
I voted for [name_m]Wilkie[/name_m] which I adore, until I saw your last name, so I am changing my vote to [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] which I think would sound better with it.
I like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] although I agree it sounds Scandinavian.
What about [name_m]Hamish[/name_m], [name_m]Duncan[/name_m], [name_m]Ian[/name_m]?
I like the shorter names with your longer sounding last name. So [name_u]Skye[/name_u], or [name_m]Boyd[/name_m]. the only [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] I know is of Scandinavian heritage.
I voted for [name_m]Wilkie[/name_m] but I really like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] too, though I see [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] as being very Scottish.
