Seaila?

What do you think of Seaila? Any middle name suggestions &/or other spellings? Nicknames?

Thanks

I can’t even begin to pronounce it, and that makes me not like it at all. Is it [name]Shay[/name]-la? See-eye-la? See-ay-la? Sorry, but I haven’t a clue.

I also am unfamiliar with the name- and would only guess on prn. Names like this make me freak out- I hate saying a child’s name wrong but wouldn’t know where to start.

Seaila See-il-ah? See-ay-la? See-eye-la?

I think let us know what the prn is and maybe a more intuitive spelling would make the name work [name]IRL[/name].

My first guess was SAIL-uh, though see-ALE-uh was right on its heels. Pronunciation struggles…

Hmm. No idea how to pronounce it. Since none of us here have a clue, that should raise red flag. You don’t want your daughter to have to go through life explaining it over and over again.

These could sound similar…
[name]Selena[/name]
[name]Serena[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Sayler[/name]

It looks like something from a fantasy novel - ie: made up and you’d have no idea how to pronounce it. It looks pretty, but i think whether or not you should use it is more complicated than that.

It’s pronounced Sea- eye- lah…

Pronounced that way, it kinda reminds me of Cialis (sp?). Seems like a really bad name association for a girl, especially in high school.

#whit32-- why?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe there’s another way to spell it to make it more pronounceable?

Ciayla? Ceisla?
There doesn’t seems to be a better way, does there…

For what it’s worth, I spent my whole life correcting people on my name and it has rarely bothered me. If you love the name, I say use it. It is pretty.

@ beaut@heart: Cialis is a medication that treats erectile dysfunction. It’s basically viagra.

Personally I don’t see that association but I’m still not a fan of the name. Why not just [name]Isla[/name]?
