Seasons of the Craft: Murder

Hey there, I’m working on a series that puts witchcraft at the heart of holidays. A select few witches, at the age of 27, are tested on the day in question, and if they fail, the magic can spiral out and cause chaos.

Each book calls to attention a failure in the past, and for this particular one, Halloween, I plan on it being more focused than outright destructive. In the past, this Halloween magic mishap caused either 1) The poisoned candy murder of Timothy O’Bryan, leading to decades of paranoia 2) The mysterious death of Harry Houdini.

In this alternate version of the world, which death should I reference in this book?

  • Timothy O’Bryan
  • Harry Houdini

[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] O’Bryan has been a case that has always fascinated me

[name_m]Harry[/name_m] Houdini is more well-known imo, so I would use him.

But referencing the case of [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] O’Bryan could bring more awareness to it.
