really love the name [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] but feel like it might be too overwhelming of a name. I like [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] by itself as well and it reminds me of the movie " the never ending story " which for me is a good thing. Opinions on [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] or just [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] as a fn? [name_f]Do[/name_f] they go with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] (with the a) and [name_m]Bastien[/name_m] (with the e). I had this same debate myself as many of my family members have names beginning with B.
As [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] are both the long forms of the name, I would go with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] in this case.
Let me explain
Shortest forms: [name_m]Seb[/name_m], [name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_m]Nate[/name_m].
Middle length: [name_m]Bastien[/name_m], [name_m]Benji[/name_m], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m].
[name_m]Long[/name_m] forms: [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m].
For this reasoning, I would go with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and I think they make a lovely sibset. They’re all names of similar length with a long history of use. Also it may be weird to have 2 kids with the first initial B and one with N. Give each kid their own initials.
I would use [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] as the full name. He could always go by [name_m]Bastian[/name_m].
I really like and agree with this explanation:
I really like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. It is a very handsome name that has many different nickname options. I also like [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] but I would use it as a nickname. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] are a wonderful set.
Agree completely! [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] make a gorgeous sibset!
Definitely [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] could be a cute nickname (Or Sebby or Bassy hehe.)
