Sebastian Rhys

I’ve been thinking a lot about [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. What are you thoughts on the combination [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]?

Does it go well with [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]?
Would it fit better with [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]?

This combo is near perfect. Neither are on my list or ones that I have ever strongly considered, but this combo is so nice you are making me want a boy one day!

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] ridiculously handsome. I would love to have a son with this name.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], very handsome. I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].

It’s so lovely to hear such good comments on it. I’ve really started to love it.

I love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]! I think it’s super handsome, and goes perfectly with both sets–[name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m], or [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]'s a bit creative and artsy, but also so timeless, so I think it blends both styles really well.

Thanks [name_u]Ash[/name_u]! I really liked the way you described [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].

I would love to hear more opinions on [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].

Okay. This is my new favorite boy name. Too bad DH doesn’t like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]…

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is cute, but I personally think there is too much “S” sound. Other than that, it’s a really nice combo.

I am really not a fan of [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]… sorry! The name doesn’t have any sort of meaning, and has NO good nick name possibilities. It sounds so formal and stuffy. Without a usable nickname, even [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]'s best friend has to call him, “[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]”—all the time. I just don’t like that.

Sorry to rain on the parade! I do think [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is very handsome though.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] does have a meaning.

“From the Latin name Sebastianus which meant “from Sebaste”. Sebaste was the name a town in [name_f]Asia[/name_f] [name_m]Minor[/name_m], its name deriving from Greek σεβαστος (sebastos) “venerable” (a translation of Latin [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], the title of the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] emperors). [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] was a 3rd-century [name_m]Roman[/name_m] soldier martyred by arrows after it was discovered he was a [name_m]Christian[/name_m]. Due to the saint’s popularity, the name came into general use in medieval Europe, especially in Spain and [name_f]France[/name_f]. It was also borne by a 16th-century king of Portugal who died in a crusade against [name_u]Morocco[/name_u].”

That is your opinion, not a fact. Some people actually like Bash, [name_m]Baz[/name_m]/[name_m]Bas[/name_m], [name_m]Seb[/name_m], Sebby, [name_m]Bastian[/name_m], [name_m]Ian[/name_m]…

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] has been one of my favorite names for a very long time, but I can’t get my husband on board. I love the nickname Sebby (not a [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] fan). All the Sebastians I’ve met tend to be kids of laid-back Europeans, so it strikes me as very “cool” and not at all stuffy.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] is lovely - I feel like that’s somebody on here’s son’s name, actually.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] has officially been added to the list of my favorite combinations.

I would still love to hear more thoughts on [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].
