Between watching “The Switch” last night and re-watching “Cruel Intentions” today, I have been thinking a lot about the name [name]Sebastian[/name].
I have loved [name]Sebastian[/name] since I was six years old and watching “The [name]Little[/name] Mermaid” in theaters. However, I have never been certain I could actually name a future son of mine [name]Sebastian[/name]. There is just something about [name]Sebastian[/name] that seems over the top, even frou-frou (eep!) and yet I still love the name and think it is handsome and special enough that I just might want to give it to someone.
What I want to know is, what do you berries thing of [name]Sebastian[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you see it as devilishly handsome like [name]Ryan[/name] [name]Phillipe[/name] in “Cruel Intentions” or Neurotically adorable like the little boy in “The Switch” or do you have a different view of [name]Sebastian[/name]?
Have you met a [name]Sebastian[/name] in real life(I never have), what were they like?
If you have a [name]Sebastian[/name], why did you pick it and what kind of reception has it received, what would you tell someone considering it?
[name]Hi[/name]
I agree that [name]Sebastian[/name] is a bit frou frou! It’s like a frilly name for a boy. I always feel like a [name]Sebastian[/name] would have sisters called [name]Anastasia[/name] and [name]Melisande[/name] (not that there is anything wrong with those names! They’re just not my style.) Having said that, I know a heap of baby Sebastians (all known as [name]Seb[/name]) that are currently about 2-3 years old. I live in an area in NZ which is known for it’s snootiness and try hard “class” so it’s funny that they’ve made the name so common. All the baby Sebs I know are lovely little boys, but definitely here it’s ridiculously over used!
