I’m not pregnant but always think about baby names.
At the moment in love with the name [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] but that’s my brother-in-law’s name.
Would having a baby named [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] be okay?

I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! He could be Sebby or [name_m]Seb[/name_m] for short as a baby if you wanted a cute short version
I would personally stay away from repeating names that are already in the family, especially family as close as brother-in-law. If it were a cousin, maybe I’d feel differently, but brother-in-law seems too close. Sorry! I also love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] so I can see why it’s hard to let it go!
I was named [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] because my mom loved the name, even though she has a brother-in-law named [name_m]Stefan[/name_m] who she really dislikes. I don’t think anyone ever really thought I was named after him, especially if they knew our family dynamic! I think it all depends on how you (and your partner) feel about the name.
If you don’t see him often, I guess it’s okay.
