[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you’ve all had a lovely weekend my husband and I found out just before [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] that we’re expecting a little girl in [name_f]April[/name_f]. We’ve got a list of girl names with 2 front runners. Our front runners are [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] with our “back ups” being [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
If we choose [name_f]Violet[/name_f], her name will be [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] and if we choose [name_f]Annie[/name_f], she will be [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] insert second middle name. Anne/Annie are to honour my Granma and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] honours my husbands Granma. Our only issue is, if we pick [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], it will be 2 family names with no name that is just for her (I hope that makes sense). We are looking for a more modern but feminine second middle to go with [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]. Last name starts with M and to make matters harder, we come from HUGE families with lots of names already taken. We also don’t want to use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] as a second middle incase we are lucky enough to have a second baby. We both live in the UK.
I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]! [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name!
For first name Annie…
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
I also like [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] if you’re open to using those names!
I love Annie Hazel! Oh my goodness Annie Hazel is beyond gorgeous she feels cosy, warm and fun. Annie Hazel is pretty autumnal days with lovely gold leaves covering cobblestone streets, oversized cosy jumpers and pumpkin spiced lattes. I know she’s an April baby but Annie Hazel just feels like the definition of autumn (my favourite season) she’s wonderful. Whereas Violet is lovely but doesn’t grab me the same way as Annie Hazel. I also love that this name honours special women in your lives. Honestly my daughter doesn’t have her ‘own name’ each name honours/nods to relatives and I adore the sentimental value behind her name. I think you’ll feel the same way with Annie Hazel. However a second middle name would work wonders with Annie Hazel.
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
Congrats!!
I absolutely love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], so just putting in my 2 cents’ worth for that gorgeous combo!
(Also, what you mentioned about the little one not having her “own” name if you go with solely family names does make sense, and gives an added incentive for this choice.)
