[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u]
Due in [name_u]July[/name_u], joining big sister [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u].
This will more than likely be his name, unless we happen to come across something in the next 2 months that feels even more “right”. If the first name changed, we would keep [name_u]West[/name_u] as the middle name unless it no longer worked with the new name.
I love unique names, but tend to lean a little more traditional with boys’ names. I wanted the first and middle name combination to be traditional, yet unexpected in some way.
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], (who we would nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] but use either), felt strong and peaceful to me, and has a nice meaning.
[name_u]West[/name_u] is a middle name I’ve had on my radar for awhile for either a boy or girl. While others may not quite “get it” necessarily, for me (and my husband to some extent), it’s a nod to travel, specifically “out west”, my favorite place to travel in the US, and I have very strong and positive associations with “the [name_u]West[/name_u]” growing up traveling with my grandparents.
