Seeking sibling name advice

I am looking for advice for sibling name for [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]. Our last name is consonant heavy, so I like the sibilance of [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] against it.

For her sister, I’ve been considered [name_f]Serena[/name_f], but I wonder if that ends up sounding too matchy matchy, with that same ce/se sound at the start. Maybe it could be a good middle name.

When I was pregnant before, all my name preferences gravitated towards multiple syllable names with [name_m]French[/name_m] and Italian flair (like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]). I still love names like that, but this time around I am also unexpectedly gravitating towards [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. They still have that softness with the ph sound, but feel a little simpler. I also like how [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] have a celestial connection.

I love that [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is in the 400s on the social security popularity scale, and that we rarely meet another [name_f]Celeste[/name_f].

Please help me with suggestions!

I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] go great with [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]. I like them better than [name_f]Serena[/name_f], which feels less vintage.

[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f]

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] sound lovely!!

[name_f]Merrily[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] & [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Serena[/name_f] would be super cute sisters!

I also love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and have been considering it for baby number 3, we have a pomeline. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you shorten it and what to?

I do think [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] are too similar. Sorry. But I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] or [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]!! Other ideas:
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]

Good luck!

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are perfect with [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]!

We don’t shorten it. In fact, her name often gets lengthened if we’re hanging out with Spanish speakers to Celestita. I love her name, and that it’s so rare that we meet another. People often remark how unusual and sweet it is. I know some people don’t like it because the -este sound makes them think of pest, or molest… but I think [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is the best!

[name_m]Just[/name_m] FYI [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] were a teen girl band a few years ago - not sure if that changes your perspective? But I do agree they sound great together! I really like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] together too. For me I think [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] is maybe a little bit too similar - but not majorly so, it’s certainly not up there in [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and Rylene territory!

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is a very cute and pretty name. I love the sky connections with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] -“heavenly”
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]-“bright,shining one” moon goddess
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]- “divinely beautiful”
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]- “star” but it’s pretty much the name [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] just rearranged?
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]- “pledged to God”

I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]! Maybe also
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]/[name_f]Eloisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]

seconding [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

suggesting…

[name_f]Serenity[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Luella[/name_f]
[name_f]Elora[/name_f]

I had no idea! I looked them up… wow, what a mess. But it feels very remote from my reality so I don’t think it will influence my choices here. Still laughing though.

I do think [name_f]Serena[/name_f] is too close. Maybe it’ll work as a middle name.

I’m still loving [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] both. And someone suggested [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], which made me positively swoon. I don’t think I could use it though, and I’m pretty sure my husband would give me that crazy pregnant lady side eye about it. I’ll put it on the list though.

I’m really enjoying everyone’s suggestions so please keep them coming!
