Sell this name to me (Margot)

I want to join the bandwagon with @katinka, @venezio and @missniwalyra. I’ve always liked Margot in theory, but couldn’t fall in love with this name for some reason or see myself actually using it, so please sell it to me, I want to love it!
*Also what spelling do you prefer Margot or Margaux?
Thank you!

I love Margot. It has vintage charm while also feeling fresh and sparky

I love Margot!

I think it’s super chic but also lively and sassy, with that energetic O ending that I love.

All of the spellings have slightly different vibes to me:

[name_f]Margo[/name_f] feels sassy and retro.

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] feels sophisticated, vintage and tailored.

[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] feels dramatic and elegant.

I love how many personalities this name has! It’s very versatile for such an uncommon yet on-trend choice.

One of my favorite names! I adore its vintage feeling, its kind of french vibe but at the same time, it sounds international. Easy to spell, easy to remember, but not overused. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] has gravity, but also, something sassy about it.

It’s also a pretty versatile name. I can picture both a “girly girl” and a “tomboy” named Margot. Although there’s something slightly cutesy about this name, it isn’t cheesy or too youthful to not be suitable for an adult woman.

Another great thing about [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is that sounds great with plenty of middle names.

I adore Margot/Margaux! It’s one of my absolute favourites. It’s tailored and elegant yet spunky with that O ending. For me, it brings to mind [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_m]Hemingway[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] Tenenbaum and so has a sort of retro vibe, a [name_m]Woody[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] circa Manhattan (which [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_m]Hemingway[/name_m] was in)/Wes [name_u]Anderson[/name_u] (who made The [name_u]Royal[/name_u] Tenenbaums) feel. As a result, it also has a sort of mercurial, artistic vibe to me. I really love it and feel sad I won’t ever get to actually use it.

Edit: Oh, and in terms of spelling, I love both [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and Margaux. I can’t really choose between them. I actually know a little [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] which really endears me to this spelling but [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is also lovely and sophisticated.

I absolutely love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (this spelling). I think it’s familiar but not too popular, cute and feminine but strong at the same time. I like [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] as a nickname, but the name doesn’t need one and is unlikely to be shortened if you don’t want it to be. It’s one of those vintage/classic names that are old-fashioned but still cool.

Honestly, I adore Margot and would actually like to use it, however, for some reason I still don’t see myself using it?!
Anyway, to me Margot is sophisticated, bright and thoughtful; it’s warm, like hot chocolate, warm cookies, wool blankets and a fire in the stove but at the same time it also has a very put-together vibe, someone that knows what they want and works hard to get there. There’s a French feel attached to it as well, which helps.
Also I much prefer the simplicity of Margot (but Margo feels incomplete for some reason).

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s the most popular spelling. To someone quickly skimming it looks like Maggot and that isn’t appealing. At least this is why for me.
