September Birthstone Baby??

[name]Hi[/name] there! My name is [name]Charlotte[/name]- I’m a new member to nameberry but I’ve been lurking around for a while

I’m expecting a baby girl in [name]September[/name]. And I was thinking because her birthstone will be the sapphire I could give her a name that would reflect that.

So I was wondering what you guys think of these names for a [name]September[/name] baby girl:

[name]Sapphira[/name]
[name]Lapis[/name]

I was also thinking of Lazuli but do you think that would be too much??

I would also really appreciate any other suggestions you have- but I do not like [name]Azure[/name], [name]Blue[/name] or [name]Sapphire[/name] itself- so I’m not exactly sure there are a lot more options…but I could be wrong!

Thank You Berries!!

[name]Charlotte[/name] & baby

I think Sapphirra is the best

[name]Sapphira[/name] is pretty!

[name]Hi[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], welcome to Nameberry.

Of the two, I prefer [name]Sapphira[/name] - very pretty, but for my taste both names are a bit “out there” as firsts, and I’d prefer them as middles.

Good luck!

The best idea is [name]Sapphira[/name]. It’s so pretty and I like your idea of using birthstone name. [name]Do[/name] you also consider the birth flower?

I like [name]Sapphira[/name] too. Very pretty. I also want to know if you thought about using the birth flower. [name]Sapphira[/name] glory (like [name]Morning[/name] glory) would be lovely. [name]Sapphira[/name] [name]Aster[/name] isn’t that bad either. [name]Both[/name] flowers have meanings and attributes associated with them.

I think [name]Sapphira[/name] is really pretty. I do remember there being a [name]Berry[/name] with two daughters and one of them was named Lazuli. I thought it was a great, unexpected choice, though not my style I would love to meet a little Lazuli.

I think the birth flower idea is a good one. I much prefer [name]Aster[/name] over [name]Sapphira[/name], although it sounds so much like [name]Esther[/name], it may cause some confusion.

Wow!

I actually never thought of the birth flower idea!!! I love it though! I like both [name]Sapphira[/name] [name]Aster[/name] and [name]Sapphira[/name] [name]Glory[/name]!!

You have all been so helpful!

If you have any other suggestions I would love to see them!!

Is it Suh-fear-uh or Suh-fy-ruh? Either way I prefer it to [name]Lapis[/name] or Lazuli…calystegia is another name for morning glory which makes me think of [name]Callista[/name] / [name]Calysta[/name] is that one you would consider?

I like the name [name]Sapphira[/name] too. It’s a Biblical name, but my husband doesn’t like it because the woman in the Bible was punished for being disobedient to God.

I really love the name [name]Sapphira[/name] [name]Aster[/name]!

Thank you all for your comments

@taz- I would consider [name]Sapphira[/name] [name]Calysta[/name], thank you

@bakingno.2- I’m aware of the bible association which I think is unforunate since [name]Sapphira[/name] is such a nice name. But I don’t think that it will sway my love for [name]Sapphira[/name]

@eskay- Thank you  I think that one is my favorite as well!

@watermellie- (About [name]Lapis[/name]) LOL. (About [name]Sapphira[/name]) I know [name]Sapphira[/name] is frilly but I think that is what makes me love it so much. (About Lazuli) I agree but I think if I had another child it would be hard to find a name that has the same kind of style as Lazuli…

[name]Love[/name] [name]Sapphira[/name]! I think it’s a cute connection to her birthstone. Saffy or [name]Sara[/name] could be cute nns for it, too. Or even Fi/[name]Fifi[/name], or [name]Effie[/name]…

I actually love all your names. I am a sucker for word names with pretty associations. I am intrigued by Lazuli. [name]Lapis[/name] is cool and spunky. [name]Sapphira[/name] is gorgeous! More [name]Sapphire[/name] names:

[name]Azzurra[/name] (azure) >Italian
Nilam (sapphire) >Sanskri
[name]Sappho[/name] (sapphire) >Greek
