Serafina + Josephine

Can [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] be sisters?

I think it’s a little too close for actual sisters!

Suggestions for a sister to [name_f]Serafina[/name_f]:

  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] + [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]

Suggestions for a sister to [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]:

  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] + [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]

They are very similar. It might work if they went by totally different nicknames most of the time, like [name_f]Sera[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u].

I think they would work really well as middle names for sisters; a great way to tie the girls together without being too obvious. @bassilly ^^ gave you some great name suggestions. I think almost any of them would make great first/middle combinations.

Ex. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] ([name_f]Addy[/name_f]) and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_f]Nora[/name_f]), or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] ([name_f]Ella[/name_f]) and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_f]Lucy[/name_f]).

So my little one is [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. We call her Fi or [name_f]Fina[/name_f]. I have always been in love with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jo[/name_u]) but it didn’t make the cut the first time around. Is it destined to be a middle?

I think if it’s really what you love you should go for it. [name_f]Fina[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u] sounds really cute.

One thing to consider is what would you name a third girl if you had one? Personally, I wouldn’t want two of my daughters names to be so similar and then have one that is completely different.

I personally don’t think they’re too close…they have the repeating “feen” sound, but I think it’s a nice connection between two sisters’ names! [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is gorgeous btw.

I don’t think so at all! The back syllables of the names are similar but the names are otherwise easily distinguishable. I think they sound great together anyhow! Very unique and elegant
