Seraphine

I would love to have your opinions on the name [name]Seraphine[/name].
It doesn’t get much mention here, at least in comparison with [name]Seraphina[/name], so I’d love to get your thoughts. I know [name]Seraphina[/name]/ [name]Serafina[/name] is more popular but I don’t care for it as much, so as tempting as it is to say, “I like [name]Seraphina[/name] more”, I would definitely appreciate opinions on [name]Seraphine[/name] for the name that it is

Thank you!

I really do like [name]Seraphine[/name], sweet and elegant, mysterious. However (I do have to mention [name]Serafina[/name]- I’m so sorry!) I think it sounds a little cut off. People are so used to hearing [name]Serafina[/name] now, they might wonder if they misheard you, etc. Despite that, I really like this name and would love to see it on a little girl!

I’m quite fond of [name]Seraphine[/name] myself. I find it elegant and it brings images of angel wings to my mind. I like that it’s just a little less frilly and elaborate than [name]Seraphina[/name].

I like [name]Seraphine[/name], but I feel that it’s somehow less complete than [name]Seraphina[/name]. I like how sleek and ‘modernly’ feminine it is, like [name]Delphine[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name], other names I like for the same reason

I like it but it’s too sugary sweet for me. I prefer [name]Seraphina[/name] for it’s slightly more rounded, mature sound.

[name]Seraphine[/name] brings to mind pink sugar, frosting, glittery ballet slippers, and vanilla strawberry milkshakes.

I prefer [name]Seraphine[/name] myself, but I’m sure everyone is aware by now of my ridiculous bias against long girl names that end in -a, meaning [name]Seraphina[/name]/[name]Serafina[/name] would likely never do it for me. [name]Seraphine[/name] is closer in sound to the root word, [name]Seraph[/name]/[name]Seraphim[/name], is decidedly French, and feels much stranger and more dissimilar from other popular girl names. I used it as a second middle, and I’m not usually into second middles at all, so that says a lot.

[name]Seraphine[/name] sounds classy and timeless, [name]Seraphina[/name] is the more trendy version…but I feel the same way about most “girly” names (I prefer [name]Isabelle[/name] over [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Arianne[/name] over [name]Arianna[/name], etc.). I think I just have a thing for French names.

I much prefer [name]Seraphine[/name] to [name]Seraphina[/name]. I feel like not only does it generally flow better it doesn’t end abruptly in the way [name]Seraphina[/name] does. I have [name]Seraphine[/name] as a ultimate contender for my second middle short list as I think it is just so elegant and beautiful and puts me in mind of flowing streams and wild flowers and sunshine.

I really like [name]Seraphine[/name]. I vastly prefer it to [name]Seraphina[/name].
