And [name]Luca[/name] is cute, but seems like it will become popular like you said. So I think [name]Stellan[/name] [name]David[/name] is a good choice.

I do think that [name]Luca[/name] has been getting a lot of attention lately ([name]Hilary[/name] [name]Duff[/name]'s new baby is [name]Luca[/name], for instance). It might be worth considering that its cousins are highly used: [name]Lucas[/name] is currently ranked at #29 and [name]Luke[/name] below at #39. I really like [name]Luca[/name]; I think it’s dramatic and easy to spell, and I don’t think [name]Luca[/name] is too popular…but there might be other boys in his class with very similar names. Not sure if that would bug you. I also think that you would run into that with [name]Cade[/name]. While [name]Cade[/name] is ranked down in the mid-300s, [name]Caden[/name] is at #136, [name]Cayden[/name] is at #150, and [name]Caiden[/name] is at #286 while [name]Kaden[/name] is at #119 and [name]Kade[/name] is #411. I bet a lot of those [name]Caden[/name]/[name]Cayden[/name]/[name]Caiden[/name]/Kadens get called [name]Cade[/name]/[name]Kade[/name] sometimes as a nickname. So while [name]Cade[/name] isn’t too popular, all those versions might add up to there being a bunch of Cades in his class.
That’s why I think [name]Stellan[/name] might actually be the best choice if you want something unusual. It’s familiar (maybe because [name]Stella[/name] has shot up) and people will be able to spell it; it’s not made up, it’s got a great meaning, and the male version isn’t even ranked in the top 1000 in the US. I wouldn’t worry about the dog. Your child will outlast it, haha. For some other boy ideas (sorry if I repeat myself from the last thread!):
