Hello all! I’m coming up with a new idea and it’s based off of red riding hood. That being said I’ve narrowed down the MC’s first name to two possibilities. I quite like the eastern european sound in both of them and if you want to suggest others that would be awesome!
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]: Because the meaning is “gracious” I think it’s a little ironic to give it to my huntress of a main character. Plus the name is gorgeous.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]: I just simply really like this name but there isn’t really any insiders connection or meaning to it. I like the image it brings, it makes me think of icy winters and nature which is the vibe I’m going for.
Now for the hard part. Becuase neither of those names have any meaning that ties into red riding hood I want her surname to have meaning to it. I’ve come up with a couple already that mean red or something close to it.
[name_m]Radcliff[/name_m]
[name_m]Adams[/name_m]
Gough- yes like the artist
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Flannery[/name_u]
Krasnik- this one I made up, it’s a combination of the russian word for red and an ending I just made up. I kind of like it though?
I prefer [name_f]Freya[/name_f], for the imagery and the connection to the Norse goddess. As for your character’s surname, I would choose either Krasnik or [name_m]Radcliff[/name_m].
Here are suggestions as well:
