I was wondering what people think about siblings sharing initials / starting with same letter?
I have 3 kids with different initials but I’m currently day dreaming about having another child. However the potential 4th child would have the same first letter as another of my child. Would it be odd? I didn’t want to do it but loving the idea of a little [name_f]Edith[/name_f] but my last child is called [name_m]Ewan[/name_m]. The other two start with a R and N.
I don’t mind matching initials - though I’d make sure their middle initials were different.
Since your other two have different initials, it doesn’t feel matchy or purposeful and [name_m]Ewan[/name_m] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] have really different sounds
I wouldn’t do it if it’s another boy (such as [name_m]Ewan[/name_m] and [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] etc). [name_u]Or[/name_u] the same gender as the other kids (2 girls with a N or 2 boys with a R). I think post could be confusing if it’s labelled simply as miss n smith (not my surname!).
[name_m]Just[/name_m] loving the name [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and wondered if E names were now off limits!
It’s fine especially being that one is a boy and the other for a girl. I don’t care for three or more siblings having the same initial but in this case you should choose the name you love the most. If there were to be fifth child in your future I would avoid a duplicate initial.
It’s fine. I know of one family who has kids whose names start with A, K, M & M. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom and her siblings are K, K, R & B. As long as you love each of the names, I don’t think it’s a big deal.
