I love [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is sweet, charming, and versatile. It works well on a child and an adult.
I hope you do not have to wait too much longer. That last month was so stressing. [name_f]My[/name_f] back ached round the clock.
I voted for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. Easy to say. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is gorgeous, but [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] is a bit of a mouthful. Have you considered simply [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]?
I voted for Emma Marie ā but if the choice had been Sylvie or Sylvia instead of Sylviana, I would have gone with that option instead of Emma by a landslide. I like the sharper āvā consonant with brothersā āxā names.
When I first posted I missed the 5 days overdue part. Wishing you well! Itās time for her to move OUT!
I voted for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. If it was between just [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] it would have been different, but [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] is just too much name. If youāre going to call her [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] the majority of the time I would just use [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Itās a perfectly legit name and goes well with your other children.
I think I might have chosen something over [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] in the past because of the same endingsā¦ but suddenly it sounds so sweet to me! I would vote for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] over [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is also a lovely name, but I prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f].
So Iām voting for [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] with the suggestion that you go back to just [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! (if that was youā¦)
Sylviana would be the bolder and most interesting choice and I think it flows better with the mn Marie than Emma Marie (emmamarie).
And please donāt evict herā¦just push her out into the world when the time is right!
I know an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] and it is too many Mās when we say her name itās Emm-Ma Ma-[name_f]Ree[/name_f] because itās such a bah bah bah bah thing to say. I think the name is sweet just too many Mās
Voted for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] would be a stunner!
I think they are both lovely names. Iām sure that when you meet her you will be able to tell which name to pick. I chose [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] because I think itās a lovely name, although I prefer the shorter [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and itās not as common. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a lovely name, warm and affectionate sounding. I do love it but itās just way too popular at #2. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is see as a sweet little girl while [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] is full of energy. I named my own daughter [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] for that very reason. She was constantly moving around while I was pregnant, and she is still the same, I can hardly get any pictures of her that arenāt blurry.
It is so interesting to me that those who like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] over [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] selected [name_f]Emma[/name_f] as their poll choice. What a bust! I am going to do a separate post to give [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] itās own poll slot.
I may add the middle name [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] into the mix, as that also honors the family member.
I voted [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f], but I have reservations with both choices.
Like others have said, [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] seems like a whole lot of name. And Iām not sure how you feel about āmatchingā sibsets, but I donāt think [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] āgoesā with your existing kidsā names very well. I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] would both work better, and I would prefer those to [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] sounds ok, and I think it matches your other children well. I just didnāt pick it because itās a little heavy on the M, and I donāt like that [name_f]Emma[/name_f] ends in āmaā and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] begins with it. The names run into each other too much.
I would have voted for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], but [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] is too much for me. So, I voted [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] would be superb. [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] is interesting in theory, and I might like it better as Silviana, but it just seems like a bit of a mouthful when [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is so perky and chic, and great with [name_u]Alex[/name_u] and [name_u]Max[/name_u]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is rather sing-song-y, which I donāt like, and I was going to suggest [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Mara[/name_f], another [name_f]Marie[/name_f] variant, but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] maintains the style of [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] are fine separately, but together the flow is off and you end up with Emmarie.
I like [name_f]Sylviana[/name_f] rather than just [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] because it fits better with my boysā names, in my opinion. Longer name with short name. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] has the same # of syllables and has never been labeled as too much of a name. It gives her the choice to use it when she is older - [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] sounds young to me. I love the meaning. I really like its uniqueness. It also does not add to the mouthful [name_u]Alex[/name_u] & [name_u]Max[/name_u]. [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] flows off the tongue. We would call her [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] H------r for school and the everyday or Sylvi-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-NA when she is in trouble. I donāt think itās too much.
I do not care for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] is my husbands contribution and itās the only one of his that I have seriously considered. I like its meaning and origin. It sounds elegant to my ears. I donāt like that itās the #2 name. Beyond that I donāt have much of an opinion, in contrast to the former. I donāt feel like its a better fit with my boysā names, however itās not bad. [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]Max[/name_u] & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] doesnāt flow as well to me. Adding an [name_f]Em[/name_f] name to an existing Mm sib name may be asking for confusion.
Thanks for the opinions - they have helped me figure out where to start! Iām off to start a new poll! ā
