Has anyone heard any other names which could have the nickname [name]Shep[/name].

I absolutely love it, but our last name is Forman and [name]Shepherd[/name] For-[name]Man[/name] is a bit of a joke isn’t it? Or is it not that obvious to everyone else?

I think it might be a bit too short to stand alone as a name in it’s own right, especially with the sheepdog connotations…

I could only think of [name]SHane[/name] [name]EPhraim[/name]

Hmm. If I heard [name]Shepherd[/name] For-man I’m not sure it’d be that obvious, the stress in Forman is different than in For [name]Man[/name]. BUT, that said, if you want to avoid [name]Shepherd[/name], I think it works as a nn for [name]Joseph[/name] (last four letters rearranged a bit), any SH name, or really frankly any name. I think it’s one of those things like [name]Buddy[/name] where the name doesn’t have to bear any direct connection to the name itself. I also think [name]Shepherd[/name] could be a really nice middle name. Good luck!
