Congrats! I think you should go with [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]. You keep coming back to it, right? It’s beautiful with [name_f]Ellen[/name_f].
Based on some of your previous posts I’ve seen, I voted for [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]!
I know you’ve been leaning to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u], but I just love [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is my favourite!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]!
I have been! And we had talked about [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] a little, but since she was born on his grandmothers birthday my husband is REALLY pushing for [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. I do like it, but I think I’ve just had [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] on my mind for so long now I don’t know if I can see her as anything else.
Keep the votes coming!!
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] followed by [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f].
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] seems a little insubstantial beside them, plus you’ve talked about and loved [name_u]Ava[/name_u] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] for so long!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]! Stunning! I love the flow!
Thank you!!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is good!
Congratulations! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you’re both doing well and you settle on her perfect name quickly!
I voted for [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. This is a beautiful name and it offers lots of flexibility. You can still call her [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] or [name_f]Avie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or pretty much any combination of all of that! To me, the hyphen is unnecessary and will cause more problems than it solves. I’ve never known anyone with a hyphen in their name to actually like the hyphen there.
Good luck to you, can’t wait to hear what you decide!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is spunky, lovely, and something that she can grow into that also suits her now! Got my vote 100% and congratulations!!
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is a lovely, spunky combination of modern and classic, feminine and unisex names! It looks cleaner without the hyphen to me but if you intend for her to go by [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] all the time, the hyphen will probably make it more obvious, and less likely that people will just call her [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. [name_f]Avie[/name_f] seems rife for spelling issues/confusion, and it would be a shame to give up [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] if you love it so much. Your husband could use [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as his special nickname for her, something special between father and daughter that also honours his grandmother.
Thank you so much! If we do go with [name_f]Ava[/name_f] I do intend to call her [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]…but maybe it would be easier to just make that known from the beginning instead of adding the hyphen, I can’t decide. I have a few friends with hyphenated names and they have never had an issue with it. The only issue I see is if she doesn’t want to go by both when she gets older.
Here in the Southeastern US, there are still plenty of hyphen names and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] gets my vote. I think without the hyphen, her name might get shortened to [name_f]Ava[/name_f] when she gets to school. I love a pairing of a feminine name hyphenated with a unisex or even masculine name…unique and a great way to honor family sometimes without worrying about gender! As an aunt to [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]Gray[/name_u], who has to point out fairly routinely that her name is [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]Gray[/name_u], not [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f], there’s always a possibility of having the name you love misconstrued when it’s spoken. [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u] could be heard as [name_u]Avery[/name_u] to some folks. I think it’s a beautiful name and flows so well with [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]!
[name_m]Ive[/name_m] been thinking about it, and I think you should go with [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. You have loved it the entire time. And, Congratulations!
What did you pick??
