She's so cute - but is dear Siri usable?

I was browsing some unusual girls’ names on some random website the other day, and they highlighted [name_f]Siri[/name_f]. I was surprised, because I had never thought about [name_f]Siri[/name_f] as an actual human name. But it is! Scandinavian for “fair victory” and also happens to be Swahili for “secret”. (I love the meanings, I think they’re so cool)

I’m thinking it might work, because the buzz about digital [name_f]Siri[/name_f] isn’t as loud as when she first came out a few years ago. Everyone still has [name_f]Siri[/name_f], but honestly I know very few people who use the app on their phones/iPads/etc. Know what I mean?

I’ve filed it away as GP because of how [name_f]Apple[/name_f] has overexposed it. But my question is, is it usable? From 2014 to about ten/fifteen years from now? (when my generation would be having kiddos) Middle name suggestions would be neat, too!

Try [name_f]Sari[/name_f]…I think it’s a Scandinavian form of [name_f]Sara[/name_f]…at least I know it’s popular up [name_u]North[/name_u].

[name_f]Sari[/name_f]'s a type of female garment xD

I think [name_f]Siri[/name_f] actually sounds lovely. Or you could opt for [name_f]Suri[/name_f].

[name_f]Siri[/name_f] is lovely, and perfectly usable- I know a little [name_f]Siri[/name_f] (about 6?), who was born before the app came out, and honestly, I don’t think she has had any problems with her name, particularly as it was an ethnic choice. To be frank, in 10-15 years, I think everyone will have forgotten about [name_f]Siri[/name_f] the app, which is near useless anyway :). It isn’t as though you are considering iPod- [name_f]Siri[/name_f] is a beautiful and established name.

I like [name_f]Siri[/name_f]! Like you said, I don’t think that many people actually use the digital [name_f]Siri[/name_f]. I know I don’t. And if you’re looking to have kids 10-15 years from now, [name_f]Siri[/name_f] could be obsolete, with how fast technology changes these days. It probably won’t be a common association by then. I’d say keep it on your list! Or like shannonlim said, [name_f]Suri[/name_f] is a cute option as well.

Technology comes and goes so quickly, as you said the [name_f]Siri[/name_f] hype has been quietening down, I’m sure it will just be a distant memory in a few years. I think it’s useable.

I like [name_f]Siri[/name_f] and think it usable. Personally, I like Sira, which might be even more usable with nickname [name_f]Siri[/name_f]?

I know a [name_f]Siri[/name_f] who was born way before the technology (she’s about 29). [name_f]Siri[/name_f] is beautiful and definitely usable. Technology changes so quickly, and I don’t think it would be an issue in a few years.

[name_f]Siri[/name_f] is cute, but I can only think about the fact the it’s the Georgian word “cock”(not like the bird), and also Brazilian Portuguese word for some kind of crab.
