Hubs and I finally agreed on girl one now I’m having fun working on a potential name for girl two. [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] is almost a guarantee, I’m just playing with middle names. I love [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] in general just not sure how I feel about it with [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is out because that will be daughter #1’s middle name. I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but trying to branch out from typical “filler” names.
So, thoughts on [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and/or alternative suggestions?
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is so lovely! Opposite of the pp, I absolutely love [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]! It’s on both my boys and girl’s name lists!
I love [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]! I think maybe [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] doesn’t 100% work because of the “o” sounds so close together? Some suggestions: [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f]*
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] is so so cute. And regardless I’m of the opinion that if you love a name and it’s not obviously tease-worthy, you should use that name. I don’t care how many rogue Y’s people put in there.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is also adorable, but those O’s run together, and I think you sort of run into a very [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y combination. Which is hardly a problem, if you’d like it, but it’s something to think about.
Because [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] is very light in a particular way I’d go with some A or E sounds in a middle name? And definitely some defined consonants. Sorry for any repeats, here are a few I can think of:
I really prefer the spelling [name_u]Noel[/name_u] (probably because it’s my sister’s middle name–she was born [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]). [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is a little to much for me personally. I like [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_u]Noel[/name_u], and I don’t think the O’s are too much at all!
I adore [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] but [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is hard to say gracefully. Like a pp mentioned, it’s the repetitive “O” sound that trips [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] up.
