Thoughts on this name? I think it has a peaceful sound, and I know a [name]Shiloh[/name] so I liked it before Brangelina used it

Sorry, but it is not my cup of tea at all! It’s sounds like a Russian word for awl and I always think of a phrase it is used with in [name]Russia[/name] (for a person who irritates you). Maybe if I could get trough these thoughts, I would like [name]Shiloh[/name], but not today.
The sounds is peaceful though.
[name]Shiloh[/name] as always struck me as very boyish, so I don’t care for it on a girl. For that matter, I don’t particularly care for it on a boy, either.

I agree it sounds peaceful. I like it, and I like it on a girl more than on a boy. It’s a little too “gentle” for a boy…not that there’s anything wrong with boys being gentle! It just has always sounded like a girls’ name to me.

It’s a Hebrew biblical location name, and generally used for boys in my circles.

I went to high school with a [name]Shiloh[/name] (girl) and she was very tomboyish. I felt like the name fit her to a T. But I never actually cared for the name. Still don’t. Sorry.
