So, I need a name for an orange, Persian cat who will be in my story. It’s a girl, and she has the signature squashed in face, and has a perpetual grumpy look. Despite this, she is incredibly friendly and provides all the customers of the antique store with plenty of affection. She’s not very playful, but likes to be on the leash with her owner, [name_m]Orson[/name_m].
Anyway, I’ve actually been really stumped naming this character, and I hoped some of you would be able to provide some suggestions. I honestly don’t know where to start, so feel free to suggest whatever comes to mind! [name_m]Even[/name_m] if I don’t choose a name, it could give me some inspiration for a different name, so please. The more the better.

A bit more information might be helpful. The story is set in modern day, or very close to it (2010s). The owner of the cat is in his 60s. He owns the antique store. Despite being a cat, she is one of the most important characters in the story, because she provides emotional support for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], the main character.
I don’t know whether to fill a character sheet out or not, since the character isn’t exactly human. But if you think that would help, please let me know.

I’m also not familiar with naming cats (or any pet, really) but I think a word name would fit best here. Something like [name_u]Rain[/name_u]/[name_u]Rainy[/name_u], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], [name_f]Strawberry[/name_f], Pickles, Ashes, [name_u]Raven[/name_u], or [name_m]Tinker[/name_m].
