I am Finnish, my husband is Italian and we live in Italy. I would like to find a nordic name or a name with nordic feeling that is still very easy to pronounce and write all around the world (especially in Italy). I have already checked out all the name lists I can find⦠Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Icelandic names.
Hei Iām Finnish & living in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country - hereās some names Iāve considered! Iām afraid I donāt speak Italian though and donāt know how usable these would be for you.
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Kasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Otso[/name_m] (not at all international but I think most find it easy to pronounce?)

If youāve already been through the top lists, Iām not really sure what the suggest. Oscar/Oskar came to mind, but Iām sure youāve already considered it since itās very popular. I speak a little Italian but no Finnish so apologies if some of these donāt work.
Leo
Odin
Hugo
Bruno
Milo
Victor
Felix
Christian
Leander
Arvid
Espen
I was hoping to hear some new names, but I guess I have already seen them all. [name_f]My[/name_f] aunts son is [name_m]Oskari[/name_m], The Finnish version of [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], so thatās not an option. And my husband would like a name with 4 letters.
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] is also already taken. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] would be [name_m]Ugo[/name_m] since the letter H is not usen. I like [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Ugo[/name_m] but my husband doesnāt. [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is kind of cute because my husbandās grandmum was called [name_f]Bruna[/name_f], but donāt love it. I also like [name_u]Milo[/name_u], but donāt have any strong feelings about it.
A half [name_u]Finn[/name_u] called [name_u]Finn[/name_u] would be kind of strange. Especially if he one day wants to live in Finland. I like the name, but it doesnāt work with the nationality. [name_m]Aldo[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m] (extremely Swedish) and [name_m]Oslo[/name_m] would be weird. [name_m]Fiske[/name_m] means fish in swedish?
[name_m]Klaus[/name_m] is the only name of these I like, but husband doesnāt like it. [name_f]My[/name_f] dad is [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and other names are little too long for us⦠would prefer 4 letters.
