[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,
I’m currently in the process of making a short film and I’ve almost finished the screenplay but I still can’t decide on a name for the main character.
She is a fifteen year old girl living in the countryside in [name_f]England[/name_f]. I need a name that sounds vulnerable but not so vulnerable that it’s obvious. It needs to be familiar, not too unusual but not too common. I was thinking along the lines of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] maybe. I asked somewhere else and they recommended [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Fits perfectly and the idea of the first woman goes well with the themes of the film but unfortunately it’s my name
what would you suggest along the lines of [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]?
What about [name_f]Evanna[/name_f]? It mixes both names and is pretty familiar but not common. Possible nickname could be [name_f]Eva[/name_f], which is similar but not the same, or [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. (in fact, it’s the name of the actress who plays [name_f]Luna[/name_f] Lovegood in the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] films).
Some other suggestions…
[name_f]Lana[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] “[name_f]Maggie[/name_f]/[name_f]Madge[/name_f]”
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f] was also my first choice. Other suggestions:
[name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Erin[/name_f], or [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
I hope this helped or inspired. Good luck!

[name_f]Elin[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Tillie[/name_f]
You could always do [name_f]Evanna[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and call her [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], or [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] if one of those names works for you.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]

I like:
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] (A-vah)
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] ([name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vah)
[name_f]Ana[/name_f] (like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] in Frozen)
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Lia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]
[name_f]Libby[/name_f]
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Gracie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lana[/name_f]
[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Aqua[/name_f]
The name that springs to mind straightaway is [name_f]Beth[/name_f].
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is as British as can be, it’s a strong name in full, so the cutest nickname [name_f]Beth[/name_f], has the subtle vulnerable feel that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] doesn’t.
[name_f]Beth[/name_f] would be my choice. I hope you find the name you’re looking for
Thanks!
I really like [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Alana[/name_f] and [name_f]Beth[/name_f]
